Church News 28th September 2014

PRAYER GROUP The prayer group will meet at 10am on Wednesday 1st October in the hall.

PASTORAL CARE TEAM The Team is able to help you with small household tasks, call for a chat or transport to appointments either to the Health Centre or Raigmore Hospital. We also offer to take you to visit relatives or friends who are in hospital or in residential care. Contact either your elder or the coordinator, Janette Steele (01349 861591) to make arrangements. Remember we do need time to sort out arrangements.

LADIES BIBLE STUDY The group will meet in the small Church Hall at 1.30 pm on 1st October. We continue to study the Ten Commandments. It is amazing how much discussion this engenders. We’d be delighted to welcome any new ladies. There are some studies still available.

COMMUNICANT CLASSES The minister is hoping to start communicant classes in the next few weeks. Any adherents or non-members who would like to find out more about becoming a Communicant Member of the Church and what this involves, please contact him on 861275.

HARVEST The retiring collection today at both services will be donated to the work of CrossReach, the Church of Scotland’s Social Care Organisation; helping the most vulnerable in our society at all stages in life in Christ’s name on our behalf.

SOUP LUNCH There will be a soup lunch this coming Friday, 3rd October, at 12 noon. This will be hosted by members of the Pastoral Care Team who would be delighted to see lots of folk come to enjoy a variety of soups followed by a cuppa and chat. Janette and Hugh will present “A Taste of the Deep South”- not more food but a little tour in the USA. Do come along to the Church Hall. If you’ve never been before, why not give it a try. Look forward to seeing you on the 3rd.

PASTORAL DUTIES Rev’d Graham can be contacted on 861275 if required for any Pastoral duties.
