Church News Sunday 1st March
SUNDAY CLUB AND FYF Sunday Club and FYF meet today at 10.50am. As always there is a Crèche for pre-school children each Sunday morning.
There will be a Messy Church planning meeting on Wednesday 11th March at 7pm. All those who signed up with Heidi and anyone else who would like to help on March 28th, please come along. The theme will be Palm Sunday celebration, so if you have any ideas bring them along too!
PRAYER GROUP The prayer group will meet again on Wednesday 4th March at 10am in the small hall.
PASTORAL CARE TEAM There is a small team of volunteers who are willing to assist you. Please give a call to either your elder or the coordinator, Liz Glashan (01349 861532) and we will do our best to help. Remember to allow time for arrangements to be made.
LADIES BIBLE STUDY During Lent the Ladies are studying Scottish Bible Society material called “Conversations”. The group meets on Wednesday 4th March at 1.30pm in the Church hall. This material has generated lots of discussion and thoughts. Please think about coming along to join in. We’d love to have many more with us each week.
CONGREGATIONAL BOARD AND KIRK SESSION The next meeting of the Congregational Board will take place in the church hall at 7pm on Thursday 5th March 2015. Copies of minutes and agendas are available to uplift and those receiving them by email should already have their copies. The Kirk session will meet immediately after the Congregational Board.
FERINTOSH FOCUS The next edition of the Ferintosh Focus will be issued at the end of the month. Any articles should be with the Editorial team by Friday 13th March for inclusion.
GUILD The Guild meets tomorrow Monday 2nd March at 2pm in the Church Hall. The speaker that day will be Stuart McAra of The Leprosy Mission. This should be a really interesting topic to learn about and all will be made most welcome. If you are not a member of the Guild but would like to hear Stuart do come along on the day. The Guild is for all!
SOUP LUNCH The next soup lunch will take place in the church hall on Friday 6th March at 12 noon. The speaker that day will be Adrienne Dempster from Blythswood. This will be our last soup lunch for this session and we look forward to seeing you there.
World Day of Prayer The World Day of Prayer this year is Friday 6th March. The service has been prepared by Christian women in the Bahamas. Ferintosh Congregation (both men and women) are invited to the local service will be held in St Lawrence’s Church in Dingwall at 7.30pm on that date. Anyone who would like to attend, and who needs or can offer transport, is asked to contact Janet Winchester on 865308.
RIVER CAFÉ The next River Cafe takes place in the church hall on Wednesday 11th March from 2pm-3.30pm. Why not drop in for some tea/ coffee, home baking and the chance to have a chat? We look forward to welcoming you there, whether it is for the whole time or for a few minutes.
FAIRTRADE FORTNIGHT 23rd February to 8th March is Fairtrade Fortnight 2015. Look out for information displays and promotions in local stores, and if you do not find any, ask why!
