Church News Sunday 15th March

SUNDAY CLUB AND FYF Sunday Club and FYF meet today at 10.50am. As always there is a Crèche for pre-school children each Sunday morning.

There will be a Messy Church Fun Day on Saturday 28th March between 2.00 – 3.55pm, open to all Primary School Aged Children. Registration forms will be made available through the local school as well as the Sunday Club

PRAYER GROUP The prayer group will meet again on Wednesday 18th March at 10am in the small hall.

PASTORAL CARE TEAM Please contact Liz Glashan, the coordinator (01349 861532), if you need help in any way. The team are willing volunteers who will do their best to assist. Do remember to allow time for arrangements to be made.

LADIES BIBLE STUDY The members of this group are continuing to study the Scottish Bible Society’s material for Lent called “Conversations”. We meet in the Church Hall on Wednesday 18th March at 1.30pm and we will look at Matthew 12: 1-14. Do come along if you can. A warm welcome awaits you.

GUILD This will be a quite different meeting and will be held in the Church on Monday 30th March at 7.30pm. At the beginning of Holy Week, there is to be Music and Meditation for Eastertide. You do not need to be a Guild member to come along and contemplate on the Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ. Please try to come along to make a reflective start to Holy Week. The AGM of the Guild will follow this.

WYCLIFFE Malcolm Gardiner from Wycliffe Bible translators is speaking in Maryburgh Free Church at 7.30 pm on Wednesday 25th March.  Everybody is welcome to come along that evening.

STATED ANNUAL MEETING The Stated Annual Meeting of this church will take place on Wednesday 18th March at 7.00pm in the Church hall.

CHOIR PRACTICE The choir is asked to meet at 10.15am next Sunday, 22nd March  to practise the music for Easter.

EVENING SERVICE There will be no evening service next week. The Kirk Session have elected to cancel the evening service in order to support a special praise service at Castle Street on 22nd March, beginning at 6.30pm. At this service a choir from Arda, Romania will be singing, so please, if you can, go along and support this.
