SUNDAY CLUB AND FYF Sunday Club and FYF meet today at 10.50am. As always there is a Crèche for pre-school children each Sunday morning.

LADIES BIBLE STUDY The group are continuing to meet in the small hall and the next meeting will be on Wednesday 13th May at 1.30pm. The meeting lasts for approximately one hour. We are looking at “Evangelism – a Way of Life” and this week we will begin the study entitled Creative Communication. The passage we will use to help us is Luke 10: 25- 37. If you are free, why not come and join us? A warm welcome awaits you.
CHRISTIAN AID Envelopes are now available at the rear of the church, along with a booklet of Daily Devotions plus ACT NOW cards to lobby the Prime Minister regarding the Climate Change Act. Quiz sheets also for the Scottish Songs, please help yourself to all of these & return donation envelopes by 16th May if possible. RIVER CAFÉ The next River Cafe takes place in the Church hall on Wednesday 13th May from 2pm – 3.30pm. Why not join us for some tea, coffee, home baking and the all important chat? Whether you’ve been along before, or not, you will be most welcome. We look forward to seeing you there.
FIRST AID COURSE An Emergency First Aid Certification course will be held in the Church hall on Saturday 16th May from 10am to 4pm. The course is open to Sunday Club and FYF Leaders and any congregational members willing to be a named First Aider for the Church. Please contact Isobel Thomson on 01463 731798 for details.
Heart and Soul Heart and Soul 2015 will take place in Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh from 1.00 to 6.00pm on Sunday 17th May. The theme this year is Living Stones. This event offers a programme of worship, musical items, talks, etc. (outdoors and indoors), as well as stalls displaying the activities of Congregations and Departments of the Church of Scotland and associated organisations. It is a wonderful opportunity to appreciate the breadth and depth of the work of the Church, and to join in worship and fellowship with Christians from all over Scotland and further afield. STRAWBERRY FAYRE As you know, we plan to hold a “Strawberry Fayre” on Saturday 6th June from 2-4pm in the church hall and grounds. As well as providing teas with home bakes, there will be a selection of stalls and old style games to entertain. These stalls will include Cake & Candy, Plants & Produce, a “Sunshine” Stall where everything on sale will be the colour yellow and a few more surprises! We are not having the usual books and bric-a-brac etc but it would be appreciated if you could hold onto such items as we plan to have a church sale later in the year.
There is a list at the back of the church for names of those willing to help out on the day and also provide baking for the teas. It is planned to have a meeting on Monday 25th May at 7pm in the church hall to finalise plans for this event and anyone who intends to help at the Fayre will be welcome to come along.
Presbytery of Ross – Education & Ministry Committee You are warmly invited to a workshop day for all those interested in engaging with young people in our churches and communities. Come along and be inspired, discuss your frustrations, plans and hopes, and share ideas with others from the local congregations!

ROSSKEEN FETE Everyone is welcomed (entry free) to the Rosskeen Church of Scotland Fete to be held from 11am to 4pm on Saturday 16th May. The Fete will include teas, lunches, music, children’s attractions, face painting, baking, crafts, books, toys, games and from 11am a “Scruffs and Pedigrees” dog show (£2 registration). Doreen Suckling, here at the organ, has a supply of quiz sheets (£1) on the subject of places in Scotland (towns, islands, areas, etc). Prize £10 (drawn from correct entries).
