Church News Sunday 6th November

SUNDAY CLUB AND FYF Sunday Club and FYF meet today at 10.50am. There is a Crèche for pre-school children each Sunday morning.

PRAYER GROUP The prayer meetings will continue on Wednesday mornings at 10.00am in the small hall. John Fraser will lead them and if you would like them to pray for someone at those meetings please contact John on 861140.

LADIES BIBLE STUDY The next meeting of the group will continue with the study of Hebrews. Using the LifeBuilder Series entitled “Hebrews – Race to Glory”, we are looking at Chapter 4 in particular – Receiving God’s Blessings. We’d really love to have more ladies come along and you would be most welcome even if you can’t manage every week. We meet in the Church Hall on Wednesday 9th November at 1.30pm for approximately an hour.

PASTORAL CARE If you need some help, why not ask the team to see if we can help. Contact either your elder or the coordinator, Janette Steele (01349 861591) and we will do our best to assist.

REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY Next Sunday, the 13th is Remembrance Sunday. Please meet at the War Memorial at 10.50 for the Act of Remembrance after which a Service of Remembrance will take place here in the Church at 11.15,

PASTORAL DUTIES Between 7th and 20th November Rev’d Russell Smith is available for pastoral cover and can be contacted on 861011, thereafter it would be the Interim Moderator, Rev’d Stephen MacDonald from Castle Street and he can be contacted on 866792.

FAREWELL After Rev’d Graham’s final morning service today the congregation are invited to join Andy and Margaret in the Church hall for a cup of tea or coffee and home baking and a chance to say farewell before they move to pastures new. Rev’d. Graham’s induction will take place at Coupar Angus Abbey Church at 6.30pm on Tuesday 29th November. All are invited to come along and it would be nice to see some of you there that evening.

GUILD The next meeting of the Guild will take place tomorrow afternoon at 2pm. where we will be looking at the “Road to Emmaus”a Bible study. Look forward to seeing many of you there and for the welcome cuppa too.

GUILD WEEK This runs from 13th November until 20th. There are a few things happening around our area. A) walk around Dingwall 15th November starting at 10am from St Clements Church Hall and finishing at Castle Street for coffee. B) On Friday 18th Castle Street Guild are hosting a Panel Evening with an MSP, Doctor, former police inspector and a teacher. (See notice board in Hall and at gate for further details) This is an Open Evening so anyone can come along. C) On Sunday 20th November, a Guild Evening Service will be held at 6.30pm in St Clements Church. All welcome to attend.

RIVER CAFÉ The next River Cafe takes place in the Church hall on Wednesday 9th November from 2pm-3.30pm. Why not drop in for some tea/coffee and home baking and the all important chat? We look forward to seeing you there.

LIFE AND WORK The order for 2017 has to be placed soon. There is an increase of 30p per copy (total £30 annually). Anyone who wishes to order copies, or anyone who wishes to cancel their order, please contact Georgie Jack (01349 861860) by Sunday 13th November. Cancellations cannot be accepted after that date.

SUPPLIES FOR EKWENDENI HOSPITAL Many thanks for all the gloves, bandages and other hospital supplies donated over the past few months. Nine banana boxes full of supplies have been delivered to the Blythswood Depot, and should already have arrived at Raven Trusts’s Dundee depot, en route to Malawi. EVENING OF TEN-PIN BOWLING There is to be an evening of Ten-Pin Bowling on Wednesday 23rd November 2016. We plan to leave from the car park beside the church at 6.30pm to travel to Inverness. Cost is £6/person. Refreshments can be purchased, (if required) at the venue. If you would like to participate in this event, please add your name to the list at the back of the Church.
