SUNDAY CLUB AND FYF Sunday Club and FYF meet today at 10.50am. There is a Crèche for pre-school children each Sunday morning.

PRAYER GROUP The prayer meetings continue on Wednesday mornings at 10.00am in the small hall. The Prayer Group are happy to pray for any requests which any of the congregation have. Feel free to put any in the box in the vestibule.

PASTORAL CARE The team is ready to help you. Just phone either your elder or the coordinator, Janette Steele (01349 861591), and help could be on its way. Please allow time for arrangements to be made if you require to be taken to appointments.

CROSSREACH CrossReach are holding a competition to design the Christmas Card for this year. There are two sections – children to 14 and adults. The closing date is 27th March. Please see poster in the Church Hall if you’d like to take part and need more details.

LADIES BIBLE STUDY This coming Wednesday 22nd March we will be looking at a further person at the Cross of Jesus. This time we will be seeing through the eyes of “The Criminal– Finding Forgiveness” Do think seriously about coming along this season of Lent. Come at 1.30pm to the Church Hall, the meeting usually lasts an hour, where a very warm welcome awaits you.

HIGHLAND FOODBANK Why not donate something each week during Lent to this worthy cause? You would be helping some of the vulnerable people in our local area. Non-perishable food, toiletries, cleaning materials – all welcome.

STATED ANNUAL MEETING The Stated Annual Meeting of this congregation will take place on Wednesday 22nd March at 7.00pm in the Church Hall, chaired by our Interim Moderator, Rev. Scott Polworth. The accounts for the year 2016 will be presented to the congregation along with the reports on the work of the various Church groups throughout the year. We look forward to seeing YOU there.

ELECTION OF NOMINATING COMMITTEE Intimation is hereby given that a meeting of this congregation of Ferintosh Parish Church will be held in the Church on Sunday 26th March 2017 at the close of morning worship for the purpose of appointing a Nominating Committee.  The task of the Nominating Committee will be to nominate one person to this congregation of Ferintosh Parish Church to be the new minister. At that meeting, the congregation shall be invited to elect 9 people, who are on the Electoral Roll of this congregation of Ferintosh Parish Church, to serve on the Nominating Committee. If you wish to propose anyone to serve on the Committee you may do so at the meeting providing the person has indicated a willingness to serve.

Safeguarding Training for volunteers Training sessions for volunteers working with children and adults in their congregations have been arranged as follows;

  • Thursday 23rd March at 7.00 p.m. in Rosskeen Church Hall, Alness
  • Saturday 8th April at 10.00a.m. in St.Clements,Dingwall.

The training sessions will last for approximately 2 hours and are open to all volunteers whether new or those who may wish to refresh their training. Please contact Hugh Fraser on 01997 433384 if you wish to attend.

WORLD MISSION EVENT The World Mission Committee of Ross Presbytery is organising a World Mission Event on Saturday 1st April from 10.30am to 2.30pm in St Clements hall, Dingwall. Speakers planned are John Ferguson (Church of Scotland World Mission Council), Mary Mulligan (Christian Aid) and Pat Justad (Fairtrade). There will also be a Fairtrade stall. The event is free and open to all. Tea and coffee will be provided, but those planning to attend over lunch time are advised to take a packed lunch. This sounds like a very interesting event, and it would be good if some people from Ferintosh could attend, when speakers have come from a distance with up to date information.
