Contact either your elder or the coordinator, Janette Steele (01349 861591). It is helpful to get a bit of notice to allow arrangements to be made.

LADIES BIBLE STUDY This Wednesday, 3rd May, we will look at Numbers 27: 1-11 in the second of our two studies in the World Day of Prayer material. We meet in the Church Hall at 1.30pm and the meeting usually lasts an hour. We’d love to welcome you there this week. Following on from that, we intend studying the prophet Haggai and there are plenty of study guides available. Do think about joining us.

Christian Aid BIG BREKKIE

Yes something different this year to end Christian Aid Week.  We are planning to serve a Big Brekkie, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday 20th May in the Church hall, open to the whole community, so will need your help if it is to succeed.  Local businesses have been very generous in their promises of goods, but we do still need one or two items. Please sign up on the list on the table at the back of the Church to provide these, as well as to volunteer for jobs on the day. Any queries, contact Joan Mackenzie or Janet Winchester. We will also be having our door-to-door collection, which has always been our main fund raiser, so volunteers also please to step out in Conon and Maryburgh happily shaking cans.

christian Aid Music Quiz
This year we have a really fun ‘pop’ music quiz which should appeal to anyone into 60s/70s music, so please take a sheet or more and enjoy flexing your brain cells.  Copies available on the table with other notices in church, with box for donations, minimum £1.
TEN-PIN BOWLING Following the success of our last venture to this establishment, we plan to return on Wednesday 3rd May, meeting in the car park beside the church at 6.30pm before heading to Inverness for 7pm. As before, cost is £6/head and this includes the hire of the bowling shoes and 1 game of bowling. (We have a voucher for a 2nd game free). Refreshments can be purchased at the venue. Please add your name to the list at the back of the church or contact Janet Murray. If you feel like a challenge why not come along? It’ll be good fun!
THE LEPROSY MISSION A few copies of the latest newsletter of The Leprosy Mission Scotland are available on the table at the back of the Church. Please help yourself. If you would like to order a copy of each issue as it appears, please let Janet Winchester know.

The project for 2017 has been announced. All money raised through the sale of used stamps this year will go to provide books for the library of the Giffen Institute of Theology, where ministers of the Presbyterian Church of South Sudan undertake their training. The library was burnt to the ground during recent fighting, and the institute is currently operating, not for the first time, in a refugee camp in Kenya. Please keep saving your stamps!

RIVER CAFÉ The next River Cafe takes place in the Church Hall on Wednesday 10th May from 2pm-3.30pm. Why not drop in for a chat, some tea or coffee and some delicious home baking? We look forward to welcoming you there.
