PRAYER GROUP Prayer meetings continue on Wednesday mornings at 10am in the Church hall. Prayer is the essential powerhouse of the Church, and your participation would be greatly valued. The small group is very friendly, and there is no pressure to pray aloud if you do not wish to.

GUILD The tickets for the Big Sing at the East Church Inverness on Friday 24th November at 2pm have arrived. Ten tickets were ordered and will be given out on a first come first served basis.(They are going fast so don’t delay!) Please contact Janette Steele if you’d like to attend. Tickets are free but the collection on the day is going to be donated to help with the work of the Synod of Livingstonia of the CCAP (Church of Central Africa Presbyterian) in Malawi.

HIGHLAND FOODBANK This service is in even greater demand than before due to changes in the benefit system. Please donate by placing non-perishable grocery items in the basket in the annex. Long-life milk, cereal, rice and pasta always welcome. Toiletries are also much appreciated. Remember even those who are in work are having to resort to using the foodbank to feed their families especially in these cold days. Thank you for your continuing generosity.

OUR CHURCH’S FINANCES Good News – in October our Payments amounted to £3,533 and Receipts to £4,223 giving a surplus of receipts over payments of £690!  This was mainly due to the receipt of our quarterly claim for Gift Aid tax from the taxman! For the 10-month period to the end of October and leaving legacy receipts aside, we have an excess of receipts over payments of £2,650.  This is mainly due to the generous donations given for our Gift Day in September. There’s still a smile on our Treasurer’s face!

TEN-PIN BOWLING EVENING By popular demand there is to be an evening of Ten Pin Bowling on Wednesday 22nd November leaving the car park beside the church at 6.30pm to travel to Rollerbowl for 7pm. The hall will be open between 6.30pm-7.30pm on Friday 1st December to receive any donations and then again from 8.30am onwards on the day of the event.
