Church News Sunday 20th May

SUNDAY CLUB AND FYF Sunday Club and FYF meet today at 10.50am. There is a Crèche for pre-school children each Sunday morning.

BREAKFAST CLUB Breakfast Club for nursery and primary children is today at 10.20am.

PRAYER GROUP Prayer meetings continue on Wednesday mornings at 10am in the Church hall. Prayer is the essential powerhouse of the Church and your participation would be greatly valued. The small group is very friendly and there is no pressure to pray aloud if you do not wish to.

PASTORAL CARE Please remember if you need some help the team is available. You can contact either your elder or the coordinator, Janet Winchester (01349 865308), and help could be on hand. Please try to give as much notice as possible for transport to appointments to allow arrangements to be made.

LADIES BIBLE STUDY The ladies meet each week in the Church hall on Wednesdays at 1.30pm for approximately one hour. The present studies are looking at Luke’s writings, the Gospel bearing his name and his other book, the Book of Acts. This week we will look at the theme “The excluded are included”. We do hope you will come along and join the group in study, prayer and discussion.

NEWSLETTER The next edition of the Ferintosh Focus Newsletter will be published next month. All articles and features should be with the Editor by 15th June please.

SEAFORTH HOUSE The next service at Seaforth House is planned for Sunday 3rd June at 3pm. We are delighted to have some members of the Sunday Club and FYF joining us to help us in our worship there with their bells instrumentation.

CHRISTIAN AID “Characters from Films & Literature Quiz” answers now available for those who attempted this challenging brain teaser (folder on table in Church). Anyone who achieved more than 20 out of the 30 questions – congratulations you are a genius!

GUILD The Guild summer outing to Mackenzie and Cruickshanks’ Garden Centre in Forres has been arranged for Monday 11th June, leaving from the car park beside the Church at 11am (or as arranged with drivers). Lunch has been booked in the Potting Shed for 12.30, and menus will be available nearer the date so that meals and snacks can be pre-booked. Partners and friends are most welcome. Please add name(s) to the list on the table at the back of the Church if you intend to come on the outing, indicating whether you require or can offer a lift.

THE LEPROSY MISSION (SCOTLAND) TLM Scotland is holding its Annual Celebration in the North Parish Church Stirling on Saturday 2nd June from 11am. See the poster in the Church hall for details. Anyone interested in joining transport, please contact Janet Winchester (01349 865308).

CRECHE HELPERS URGENTLY REQUIRED We are at present running the Crèche with only 6 helpers, which means each helper is on the rota at least once every three weeks. There must be others in the congregation who could help. PLEASE consider this prayerfully and contact Janet Winchester if you can help. The new rota will run from July, and we do need to have it complete so that we can welcome little ones (and their parents) whenever they come along.

TEA FOLLOWING MORNING WORSHIP As this is an important part of our Church life, would you consider providing tea and biscuits following Morning Worship on an occasional basis? It is not necessary to provide baking! If so, can you please add your name to the list in the Church hall. As numbers continue to increase, it could be helpful if 2 people would work together on this. Many thanks.

PASTORAL DUTIES Rev’d Stephen Macdonald can be contacted on 864273 if required for any Pastoral duties.
