SUNDAY CLUB AND FYF Sunday Club and FYF meet today at 10.50am. There is a Crèche for pre-school children each Sunday morning.
BREAKFAST CLUB Breakfast Club for nursery and primary children is at 10.20am.
PRAYER GROUP Prayer meetings continue on Wednesday mornings at 10am in the Church hall. Prayer is the essential powerhouse of the Church and your participation would be greatly valued.
Informal prayer time before the morning service Come along when you can, leave when you want: for ten seconds or ten minutes. Prayer and reflection time in the hall posh room every Sunday between 10.15 and 10.45 a.m.
LADIES BIBLE STUDY “Knowing, believing, living” is the title of the next study in the Armour of God booklet the group is using. We will be looking at “Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled round your waist.” The group meets on Wednesday at 1.30pm in the Church Hall and the meeting usually lasts about an hour. Please do think about joining us. We are friendly and welcoming. Come and see if this is for you.

GUILD Roskeen Guild has invited Ferintosh Guild to their meeting on Monday 15th October at 7.30pm. The speaker will be Stella Reynolds, who will speak on one of the new projects: A Chaplain for our Ports (Sailors’ Society). Please add your name to the list at the back of the Church if you would like to attend – whether you are a Guild member or not. There is also a list for those who wish tickets for the Big Sing either in Airdrie on 23rd November or in Edinburgh on December 7th (Christmas Big Sing). Names must be added by this Sunday evening as tickets are “first come, first served”.
BLYTHSWOOD Remember there is a large red bin at the rear of the Church for your donations of unwanted items for this charity. You don’t have to carry goods far.
SOUP LUNCH The first Soup Lunch for this session takes place in the Church Hall on Friday 5th October at 12 midday. Why not join us for some delicious home-made soup, tea and biscuits and the chance to meet up for a chat? Everybody welcome.
RIVER CAFÉ The next River Cafe takes place in the Church Hall on Wednesday 10th October from 2pm-3.30pm. We look forward to welcoming you along for some tea/coffee and home baking and the all-important chat. If you can help with providing some home baking on an occasional basis to assist with this, please add your name to the list at the back of the church as your help would be gratefully appreciated.

HIGHLAND FOODBANK WOW! Thank you for such a terrific response to the Harvest Appeal of the foodbank. As you know, these donations make such a difference to many lives in our community. RETIRING OFFERING – HARVEST THANKSGIVING The retiring collection last Sunday for emergency relief and eventual reconstruction in the South West and North West Provinces of the Republic of Cameroon came to £387.74. Many thanks to all who contributed to this magnificent sum.

REV’D MACDONALD On Monday 1st October the minister was the Convenor of a team from Presbytery who visited the congregations of Fortrose & Rosemarkie l/w Avoch as part of the Local Church Review process. As Convenor, the minister needs to be with the congregations of Fortrose & Rosemarkie l/w Avoch this morning to bring the greetings and encouragement of Presbytery. The minister will be back for the service tonight at 6:30pm.
TOILETRIES FOR REFUGEES Very many thanks to all who donated toiletries over the summer. A whole car load has been delivered to The Highlands Supports Refugees, and will be sent to organisations assisting refugees in various places in Europe at the first opportunity. There will be an opportunity to hear Hannah Sutherland of that organisation speak about its work at the February meeting of the Guild – details nearer the time.

Please feel free to take one home to browse and bring it back when you have finished with it. Individuals may order direct from TLM Trading -details in the catalogue – but Janet Winchester is willing to make a collective order, on which postage and packing will be free if the order totals £50 or more.
