PRAYER GROUP Prayer meetings continue on Wednesday mornings at 10am in the Church hall. Prayer is the essential powerhouse of the Church and your participation would be greatly valued.
Informal prayer time before the morning service From 1015-1045 each Sunday the posh room is available for prayer spoken and unspoken, for our church, for the world and for current needs. Those who have participated come and go within that time so no need to stay for the half an hour. Feel free to drop in.
PASTORAL CARE Do make a call to the team if you need some help. Contact can be made through your elder or the coordinator, Janette Steele (01349861591). We will do our very best to assist.
LADIES BIBLE STUDY The final study of the Advent series will be examined on Wednesday 19th December in the Church Hall beginning at 1.15pm (note the early start!!) This will be the fourth verse (fifth one generally omitted from hymn books) of the carol “Angels from the realms of glory” and will think about saints. Questions for the study are: Who are the saints?; the life of a saint; Union with Jesus; risks faced by saints; blessings of sainthood. As you can see this should be very interesting. We would love to welcome you at this time. Don’t worry if you have never been previously. A warm welcome awaits! See you in the New Year.
GUILD The Guild has been invited to a Christmas social afternoon in Castle Street church hall on Wednesday 19th December at 2.30pm. There is a list for names of those wishing to attend at the back of the Church.
HIGHLAND FOODBANK What a response to the request for carrier bags. It is amazing the generosity of this community! Thank you. Unfortunately, the foodbank will be so necessary at this time when we are all looking forward to plenty. Please think of those who are really struggling to keep things together for themselves and family. All the usual non-perishable foodstuffs are required but maybe you could afford to donate a selection box or some such for the children?
USED STAMPS As Christmas mail begins to arrive, please remember to keep your stamps for the World Mission Council used stamp appeal. Cut them off, leaving a half inch margin if possible, but in any case perforations must be intact. It is helpful if UK and foreign stamps are kept separate.
SCOUT POST 1st Conon Bridge and Maryburgh Scout Group would like to thank the residents of both Conon Bridge and Maryburgh for once again supporting our Scout Christmas Post. We raised an excellent £503.02. The winner of Maryburgh’s Guess the Weight of the Christmas Cake was Hazel Ross and Conon’s Guess the Weight winner was Audrey Ross.
PASTORAL DUTIES Rev’d Stephen Macdonald can be contacted on 864273 if required for any Pastoral duties.
