Church News Sunday 21st April

HOLIDAY CLUB Holiday Club meets today at 10.50am. Sunday Club returns next Sunday morning at 10.50. There is a Crèche for pre-school children each Sunday morning.

PRAYER GROUP Prayer meetings continue on Wednesday mornings at 10am in the Church hall. Prayer is the essential powerhouse of the Church and your participation would be greatly valued.

Informal prayer time before the morning service From 1015-1045 each Sunday the posh room is available for prayer spoken and unspoken, for our church, for the world and for current needs. You can come and go within that time so no need to stay for the half an hour. Feel free to drop in.

PASTORAL CARE TEAM Please call either your elder or the coordinator, Janette Steele (01349 861591), if you need help from the Team. We will do our very best to assist.

LADIES BIBLE STUDY The group is having a break over the Easter season and will resume again on 1st May in the Church Hall at 1.30pm for approximately an hour. Please give prayerful thought to joining us for the next series of studies.

BUNDLES OF FUN Bundles of Fun returns on Thursday 25th April at 1:30pm.

KIRK SESSION The Kirk Session will meet at 7.00pm on 1st May in the Church Hall. Minutes and the Agenda are about to be circulated.

EASTER DAFFODILS Thank you to all who brought flowers and helped decorate the windows. The flowers can be uplifted after the morning service for distribution. However, we need to know who you are giving the flowers to so there will be paper and pen in the annex to add names to.

SERVICE THEME From next Sunday, 28th April, the morning services will follow a new theme ‘Believing is Seeing’. This will continue until Sunday 19th May, giving us four weeks on this new theme. We have looked at the I AM sayings of Christ in the Gospel of John, also the signs/miracles of Jesus in the Gospel of John and now continue in the Gospel of John with the believing is seeing theme.​

Guild Visit to Urray House As discussed at the last meeting, members of the Guild will visit Urrray House to meet residents and present a short programme similar to the one we presented at Cameron House earlier in the year. The proposed date for this visit is Tuesday 30th April at 2pm (leaving Maryburgh/Conon at 1.30pm). Please add your name to the list on the table at the back of the Church if you are able to attend.

HIGHLAND FOODBANK The use of foodbanks is ever increasing and your help is more than ever required to help people get through the week, trying to feed themselves and their families. Your help is very much appreciated. Every single item is so welcome.

 PASTORAL DUTIES The Minister is on holiday until Friday 26th April. He will be back to take the services on Sunday 28th April. For pastoral issues please contact either Irene Munro on 865752 or the Session Clerk on 861930.
