Church News Sunday 8th December

SUNDAY CLUB AND FYF Sunday Club and FYF meet today at 10.50am. There is a Crèche for pre-school children each Sunday morning. The Youth Club will meet next on 13th December.

BREAKFAST CLUB Breakfast Club for nursery and primary children is today at 10.20am.

PRAYER GROUP Prayer meetings continue on Wednesday mornings at 10am in the Church hall. Prayer is the essential powerhouse of the Church and your participation would be greatly valued.

LADIES BIBLE STUDY Do join us in the Church Hall on Wednesday 11th December at 1.30pm for approximately an hour when we will continue our series of studies entitled “Vital Christianity”. We continue looking at the book of Titus with emphasis this time on “God’s people at home” in chapter two. See you there.

BUNDLES OF FUN For all parents/carers, babies + toddlers, every Thursday in the hall from 1pm-2:30pm. Come along and relax over a cup of tea/coffee whilst you watch the children play.

PASTORAL CARE TEAM Please remember we are here to help with transport and visits. Just let us know what you need and we will try our very best to assist. Contact either your elder or the coordinator, Janette Steele (01349861591). Do allow time for arrangements to be made.

RIVER CAFÉ The next River Cafe takes place in the Church Hall on Wednesday 11th December from 2pm-3.30pm. Why not join us for some tea/coffee, home bakes and the all important chat? We look forward to welcoming you there. If you are able/willing to help at the event or provide some baking, please add your name to the list at the back of the church as this would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

SEAFORTH HOUSE The service of worship for Seaforth House is to take place this afternoon at 3pm in the form of a nativity. If any can join us please do come as the residents enjoy the fellowship of the helpers.



 Many thanks must go to everyone who supported our recent Coffee Morning in any way, as without your generous support, it would not have been such a successful event. The excellent sum of £1232 has been raised (so far) for Church and Community Activities. I have outlined the various amounts of money taken at each stall, for your interest:

The Knitted Cat was named LISA and was won by Mrs E Glashan (Maryburgh)

The Donkey in the Nativity was called JACOB and was won by Mrs Haldane (Dingwall)

The Number of Sweets in the Jar was 371 and this was won by Mrs Brenda McCulloch (Conon)

GUILD The Christmas Lunch in the Cottage Bar is tomorrow 9th December at noon. If you haven’t already paid £15 please do so before the end of today to Pat. this avoids needing to deal with money at the meal. Thank you.

FERINTOSH FOCUS Copies of the latest edition of the Ferintosh Focus are available in the annexe to be picked-up by those who kindly distribute them.

HIGHLAND FOODBANK There is still a great need for the Foodbank in the area. Please consider donating non-perishable goods to help those less fortunate than ourselves. There is still time to fill the Reverse Advent Calendar bag. Leaflets are at the back of the Church, which explain more. Thank you for all the help you have given so far this year.

MIRIAM SINGERS You are invited to Rosskeen Parish Church Hall, Perrins Road, Alness for the Miriam Singers and Iain’s Boys Christmas “Carols by Candlelight” on Monday 9th December. It begins at 7pm and teas and light refreshments will be served. All are very welcome.
