Church News Sunday 21st December

SUNDAY CLUB AND FYF Sunday Club and FYF are finished today for the Christmas holidays and will return on Sunday 11th January. As always there is a Crèche for pre-school children each Sunday morning.

PRAYER GROUP The prayer group has now stopped for the remainder of this year and will start to meet again at 10.00am on Wednesday 7th January in the Church hall.

PASTORAL CARE TEAM Don’t hesitate to make contact if you need some help. You can contact either your elder or the coordinator, Janette Steele (01349 861591), and we will do our best to assist. Please remember to give as much notice as you can to allow arrangements to be made.

GUILD The first meeting of 2015 will take place in the Church Hall on Monday 5th January at 2pm. We will look at this year’s Discussion Topic “Let’s Talk About…. how to share”. This is usually a very interesting meeting and the Guild Team extends a very warm welcome to anyone who’d care to come along. As has been said before, the Guild is for all – young, old; male, female. You’d be made most welcome.

ADVENT REFLECTIONS ALTERnativity are posting Advent Reflections on Facebook.  Hopefully, they will provide a little food for thought as we head towards Christmas Day. They can be found at You might be surprised at the reflections, like looking at the Christmas cards you have received and thinking about the feelings they conjure up for you!

CONGREGATIONAL BOARD A reminder for all Congregational Board members that there will be a meeting with Fiona Penny from the National Stewardship Team on Thursday 25th January at 7.00pm in the Church hall. Please can we have as high a turnout as possible at this meeting as Fiona will be travelling some distance to get here.

LADIES BIBLE STUDY The group resumes after the Christmas break on Wednesday 7th January. It meets in the Church Hall at 1.30pm for approximately an hour. This session we hope to study using “LifeBuilder Bible Study” on the topic of “Evangelisim– A Way of Life”. At the first meeting we will ask ourselves, “Why spread the Good News?” having read Luke 15: 1-2, 11- 32. This group is friendly, non- threatening where each person’s opinion and view is taken into account. We discuss freely but if you’d rather just listen, that’s OK too. Please prayerfully consider coming along to give it a try, as they say.

EVENING  SERVICES There will be no evening service on 28th December and 4th January.
