SUNDAY CLUB AND FYF Sunday Club and FYF meet today at 10.50am. There is a Crèche for pre-school children each Sunday morning.
PRAYER GROUP The prayer meetings continue on Wednesday mornings at 10.00am in the small hall. The Prayer Group are happy to pray for any requests which any of the congregation have. Feel free to put any in the box in the vestibule.
PASTORAL CARE If you need some assistance, why not give the Team a call. You can reach us either by contacting your elder or the coordinator, Janette Steele (01349 861591) and we will do our very best to help. Do allow time for arrangements to be made if you need to be taken to appointments.
LADIES BIBLE STUDY For the next two weeks the group will use the World Day of Prayer studies devised by Christian women in the Philippines. Week one looks at Matthew 20: 1-16. The group meets on Wednesday 26th April at 1.30pm in the Church Hall. Do try to come along if you can. A warm welcome awaits.
GUILD Date for you diary, members. Monday June 19th trip to Grantown on Spey for lunch and meet up with Esmary. Details to follow. Another date is Wednesday 5th July for a visit to Cameron House, Inverness.
LONG SERVICE Today we congratulate James Bremner, Eric Munro, Isabel MacKenzie and Janette Steele on the 40th Anniversary of the ordination to the eldership. (24th April 1977). We give thanks for their dedication and service and pray God’s blessing upon them as they continue to serve the Lord in this place.
CHRISTIAN AID BIG BREKKIE Yes something different this year to end Christian Aid Week. We are planning to serve a Big Brekkie, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday 20th May in the Church hall, open to the whole community, so will need your help if it is to succeed. Please speak to Janet Winchester or Joan MacKenzie if you can help in any way, donations of your time and food will be greatly appreciated. We will also be having our door-to-door collection, which has always been our main fund raiser, so volunteers also please to step out in Conon and Maryburgh happily shaking cans.
CHRISTIAN AID MUSIC QUIZ This year we have a really fun ‘pop’ music quiz which should appeal to anyone into 60s/70s music, so please take a sheet or more and enjoy flexing your brain cells. Copies available on the table with other notices in church, with box for donations, minimum £1.
TEN-PIN BOWLING Following the success of our last venture to this establishment, we plan to return on Wednesday 3rd May, meeting in the car park beside the church at 6.30pm before heading to Inverness for 7pm. As before, cost is £6/head and this includes the hire of the bowling shoes and 1 game of bowling. (We have a voucher for a 2nd game free). Refreshments can be purchased at the venue. Please add your name to the list at the back of the church or contact Janet Murray. If you feel like a challenge why not come along? It’ll be good fun!
CROSSREACH Old Pounds, New Opportunities – CrossReach have developed a cube box to put your Old Pounds into and by saving them they hope to bring New Opportunities to young children from all over Scotland who look to CrossReach for assistance. CrossReach believes that this simple, yet effective, idea can help transform a life one box at a time. Janette Steele, your congregation’s supporter for CrossReach will be sending for some boxes. If you’d like to participate please put you name on the sheet at the back of the Church after today’s service.
