Church News Sunday 14th May

SUNDAY CLUB AND FYF Sunday Club and FYF meet today at 10.50am. There is a Crèche for pre-school children each Sunday morning.

PRAYER GROUP The prayer meetings continue on Wednesday mornings at 10.00am in the small hall. The Prayer Group are happy to pray for any requests which any of the congregation have. Feel free to put any in the box in the vestibule.

PASTORAL CARE  Perhaps you need to attend a hospital or health centre appointment and wonder how you can get there. Don’t despair! Give the Team a call. We will try our very best to help. Contact either your elder or the coordinator, Janette Steele (01349 861591). It is helpful to get a bit of notice to allow arrangements to be made.

LADIES BIBLE STUDY On Wednesday 17th May, we will be studying the second session in the book of Haggai which is entitled “Probing Questions”. We meet in the Church Hall at 1.30pm for approximately an hour and all ladies are very welcome. There are still study guides available. The scripture readings for this study are: Haggai 1:2-4; Isaiah 40: 12-31; Genesis 3: 8-13; John 5: 1-15; Mark 9: 33-37 and Mark 10: 46-52.

KIRK SESSION The next meeting of the Kirk Session will be on Thursday 18th May at 7.00pm and it will meet in the Church Hall. Minutes and Agendas are available to uplift now. Elders who receive their Minutes and Agenda by email should have them by now. Members of the congregation are welcome to attend Kirk Session Meetings as observers but are not allowed to contribute to any discussions that take place unless invited to do so by the Chairperson. Also, from time to time observers may be asked to leave a meeting if any items of Restricted Business are on the Agenda.

START YOUR DAY WITH OUR BIG BREKKIE ON 20TH MAY

CHRISTIAN AID MUSIC QUIZ This year we have a really fun ‘pop’ music quiz which should appeal to anyone into 60s/70s music, so please take a sheet or more and enjoy flexing your brain cells.  Copies available on the table with other notices in church, with box for donations, minimum £1.
BLYTHSWOOD Remember we have a big red bin at the back door of the Church for any donations of unwanted articles. Just drop them in there – no need to travel to Dingwall with your contributions.
HIGHLAND FOODBANK Thank you all who donated so generously over the period of Lent. Unfortunately, the need for the Foodbank hasn’t gone away and,if anything, more people are needing the help. Please drop any contributions into the basket in the annex. It is very much appreciated by the volunteers and service users.

PASTORAL DUTIES Rev’d Russel Smith can be contacted on 861011 if required for any Pastoral duties.
