Church News Sunday 1st October

SUNDAY CLUB AND FYF Sunday Club and FYF meet at 10.50am today. There is a Crèche for pre-school children each Sunday morning.

PRAYER GROUP Prayer meetings continue on Wednesday mornings at 10am in the Church hall. Prayer is the essential powerhouse of the Church, and your participation would be greatly valued. The small group is very friendly, and there is no pressure to pray aloud if you do not wish to. The group is happy to pray for concerns of the congregation, whether for individuals or on wider issues. Please place any prayers requests in the box in the Church vestibule.

PASTORAL CARE We have dedicated people on the Team who are willing to be of assistance. Give us a call either contacting your elder or the coordinator, Janette Steele (01349 861591). Please remember to give as much notice for appointments as possible to allow arrangements to be made.

LADIES BIBLE STUDY The group meets each Wednesday at 1.30pm in the Church hall for approximately one hour. The book being studied this session is Daniel and the series is entitled “Living Boldly for God”. Do think about coming along to read, study and discuss the relevance of God’s Word for us today. Look forward to seeing you there.

SOUP LUNCH The first Soup Lunch of this new session takes place in the Church hall on Friday 6th October starting at 12noon. Why not join us for some delicious home-made soup, tea/coffee and biscuits, while taking an opportunity to catch up and enjoy a chat. We look forward to welcoming you there.

RIVER CAFÉ The next River Cafe will be held in the Church hall on Wednesday 11th October from 2pm-3.30pm. Why not drop in (even for a few minutes) for some tea/coffee and home baking, while enjoying the all important chat? We look forward to having your company.

CROSSREACH In order to enable calendars for abroad to be ordered, today is the final day for ordering either the wall calendar or the appointments calendar. there is a list at the back of the church and will be in the Hall at teas after the service. You may still take a catalogue for ordering other Christmas material such as cards or wrapping paper which will help the work of CrossReach.

OPEN MEETING OF THE GUILD You are all warmly invited to the next Guild meeting tomorrow Monday 2nd October at 7.30pm in the Church hall. The speaker that evening will be Rev Sandy Sutherland with a presentation entitled, “The Black Isle Bounce – Macro to Infinity and Beyond.” Intrigued? Do come along and discover what it means for yourself. Sandy’s pictures are usually quite wonderful. A warm welcome awaits everyone. Why not come along and bring a friend?
