HOLIDAY CLUB Holiday Club meets today at 10.50am. Sunday Club, FYF and Breakfast Club return on 4th November. There is a Crèche for pre-school children each Sunday morning.

 PRAYER GROUP Prayer meetings continue on Wednesday mornings at 10am in the Church hall. Prayer is the essential powerhouse of the Church and your participation would be greatly valued.

Informal prayer time before the morning service Come along when you can, leave when you want: for ten seconds or ten minutes. Prayer and reflection time in the hall posh room every Sunday between 10.15 and 10.45am.

LADIES BIBLE STUDY We meet on Wednesday in the Church hall at 1.30pm for approximately one hour. We are studying “The Armour of God” – Living in his strength from Ephesians 6. This week we will continue to study five entitled “Suited and Booted”. We’d love to have you join us at this time of reflection on God’s Word. A warm welcome awaits you.

DEDICATION AND THANKSGIVING On Sunday 4th November we look forward to the Dedication & Thanksgiving service for young Connor Miller.

KIRK SESSION The Kirk Session will meet at 7.00pm on Thursday 8th  November in the Church hall. Minutes and agendas are available to uplift.  Elders who have elected to receive them by email should now have them.

CROSSREACH The orders of calendars and cards have arrived. Please uplift from the Church annex.

WYVIS HOUSE There is a service at Wyvis House is this afternoon at 4pm. The residents are always pleased to see any of the congregation join them in worship and fellowship.

GUILD The Guild will be responsible for the November Soup Lunch on Friday 2nd November. Proceeds will go towards the Guild Project “A Chaplain for our Ports” (The Sailors’ Society). There is a list at the back of the Church for members to sign up to provide food items and/or practical help.

HIGHLAND FOODBANK Each week there are needy people in our community who really don’t know from where their next meal is coming. By donating to the foodbank you can help make a difference to so many lives. Just put a couple of extra items on your grocery list. It really helps. Thank you for your continuing generosity.

Blythswood Shoeboxes Leaflets regarding the 2018 appeal are available at the rear of the church and in the hall.  Anyone wishing to fill a shoebox – or provide some items to be added to boxes – may hand their contribution to Mhairi Mackenzie during the weeks prior to Sunday 4th November.

CHRISTIAN AID INDONESIA TSUNAMI APPEAL Christian Aid is one of 14 charities forming the DEC (Disasters Emergency Committee) and has appealed for financial assistance to provide food, water, medicine and shelter to the survivors of this disaster in Indonesia.  If you would like to donate to this worthy cause please contact Christian Aid in Glasgow on 0141 221 7475, email: or direct to DEC texting ‘TELE’ ‘70000’ to give £5,  call 0370 60 60 900 or log in to DEC.ORG.UK. Christian Aid current magazine is available in Church. Please make time to catch up on their work around the world and their fund raising events in the U.K.

 Crèche Many thanks to all who came along to help sort out the crèche toys. Have a look in the crèche room and see all the wonderful new toys and equipment which we have received as a donation! The children’s table and chairs could still do with being smartened up, so if anyone enjoys painting and would be willing to help in this way, please contact Janet Winchester (01349 865308). Paint and brushes can be provided. Work can be done in the hall or at home, as preferred.

WOMEN FOR MISSION Women for Mission, Maryburgh Free Church are hosting a Book Evening on Thursday 1st November at 7.30pm in the Maryburgh Church hall. There will be an opportunity to view and buy books, Christmas cards and calendars from Dingwall Christian Bookshop. All are welcome.
