Informal prayer time before the morning service From 1015-1045 each Sunday the posh room is available for prayer spoken and unspoken, for our church, for the world and for current needs. You can come and go within that time so no need to stay for the half an hour. Feel free to drop in.

PASTORAL CARE TEAM Please contact the team if you need some help. Either through your elder or the coordinator, Janette Steele (01349 861591), and we will try to assist. Allow time for arrangements to be made if you require to be taken to appointments.

LADIES BIBLE STUDY As we begin the season of Lent, the group plan to examine “The Final Week” which is a five part Lent study. We meet in the Church Hall on Wednesday 6th at 1.30pm for about an hour. The first of these studies is entitled “The journey to Jerusalem”. Please give prayerful consideration to coming along for this one or all five studies. A warm welcome awaits you.

KIRK SESSION The Kirk Session will meet at 7.00pm on Thursday 7th March in the Church Hall. Minutes and the Agenda have now been circulated to all elders who have email and are available for uplift for those who do not. If you have not received your copy, please let the Session Clerk know.

Irene Munro will give an insight into her personal journey towards Ordained Local Ministry. The Guild is for everyone, male or female, young and not so young. A warm welcome will be given to you and, of course, a welcome cuppa too. There will be a Bring and Buy stall for Guild funds at this meeting. See you there!

THE LEPROSY MISSION This organisation, which the congregation has supported in the past, has put out an appeal for funds to repair and extend the work of its hospital at Anandaban in Nepal.  Some of the buildings were destroyed in the 2015 earthquake and require permanent replacement. In addition, the fantastic work the hospital did as a government recognised disaster response centre has resulted in a huge increase in patients with problems other than leprosy seeking assistance there. The UK Government has pledged to double any funds raised for this purpose between 27th January and 27th April this year. The Kirk Session agreed we should organise a fund raising event here at Ferintosh, and we are working on this (any bright ideas welcome!). Further details will be made available soon, but in the meantime, with Lent starting this week, what about praying for the work of The Leprosy Mission, and putting aside the money you would otherwise spend on your favourite treat each week? Copies of The Leprosy Mission prayer diary “Ask” are available on the table at the back of the Church, and more can be ordered if required.

RIVER CAFÉ The next River Cafe takes place in the Church Hall on Wednesday 13th March between 2pm and 3.30pm. This gives the opportunity to meet up with friends or even meet new ones. Why not come along (or drop in for a few minutes) for some tea/coffee, home bakes and the all important chat? We look forward to welcoming you there.

WORLD MISSION COUNCIL NEWSLETTER The latest edition is available, on the topic of justice – with regard to aid, trade and climate. Those who subscribe to Life and Work should receive a copy with their magazine. Further copies are available on the table at the back of the Church. Please help yourselves.

HIGHLAND FOODBANK There is a new container for your donations to make it easier to transport your very generous contributions to the car and to the pick-up point. Please still use carrier bags because they too are welcome for people to take food home from the foodbank. We are particularly asked for washing-up liquid, washing powder (small packets), ladies deodorant as well as pot noodles, tins of ham, diluting juice and Smash (dried potato). You know that all non-perishable food is most welcome at all times. Thank you.

THE LEPROSY MISSION (SCOTLAND) NEWSLETTER These are also available on the table at the back of the Church.

FERINTOSH FOCUS The next edition of the Ferintosh Focus Newsletter will be out in mid-March. All articles must be with the Editor by next Friday 8th March.
