PRAYER GROUP Prayer meetings continue on Wednesday mornings at 10am in the Church hall. Prayer is the essential powerhouse of the Church and your participation would be greatly valued.
LADIES BIBLE STUDY The group will begin again on Wednesday 8th January at 1.30pm in the Church Hall. Please think prayerfully about coming along to read and study God’s amazing Word.
PASTORAL CARE TEAM The Team is available to help. Just call either your elder or the coordinator, Janette Steele (01349861591), and we will do our very best to assist.
GUILD The first meeting of 2020 will be held tomorrow, Monday 6th January at 2pm in the Church Hall when it will be an “Illustrated Travellers’ Tales” by members. (Bring a Friend Meeting). The Guild Team extend a very warm welcome to anyone who would like to come along that afternoon. (please note the change from syllabus!)
RIVER CAFÉ The first River Cafe of 2020 takes place in the Church Hall on Wednesday 8th January from 2pm-3.30pm. Why not drop in for a cuppa and some “tasty bites” while taking the chance to catch up with friends for the all important chat? We look forward to welcoming you there. Any help with baking would be appreciated, so if you can help with this, can you please speak with Janet Murray so we can provide a variety of baking. Many thanks.
HOLY COMMUNION We will celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion at this evening’s service which will take place in the Church Hall. Members of the Kirk Session attending this evenings service are asked to meet briefly in the Posh Room at 6.25pm.
WORLD MISSION COUNCIL NEWSLETTER Those who subscribe to “Life and Work” should have received newsletters with their January magazines. There are a few spare copies on the table at the back of the Church for anyone interested to take away.
USED STAMPS I hope you have remembered to save your stamps over the festive season. Please put them in the red box in the Annexe for the World Mission Council Used Stamp Appeal, now in its 50th year. Perforations must be intact, and a margin of half an inch round the stamp is preferred. It is helpful if UK and foreign stamps can be separated.
SOUPER SUNDAE On 19th January we will be celebrating Souper Sundae, in support of the Church of Scotland HIV/AIDS programme, with a soup and sweet lunch after the service. If you can provide soup, bread/oatcakes or a sweet, or if you are able to help in any way on the day, please add your name to the list on the table at the back of the Church.
PASTORAL DUTIES Rev’d Stephen Macdonald can be contacted on 864273 if required for any Pastoral duties.
