Church News Sunday 3rd January

SUNDAY CLUB AND FYF Sunday Club and FYF are on holiday and will return on Sunday 10th January. As always there is a Crèche for pre-school children each Sunday morning.

PRAYER GROUP The Prayer Group has now stopped for a few weeks and will restart again on 13th January.

PASTORAL CARE TEAM As always a dedicated group of helpers are willing and anxious to be of assistance. Please let us know if you need our help. Contact either your elder or the coordinator, Janette Steele (01349 861591), and we will do our very best to help. Please do allow time for arrangements to be made.

LADIES BIBLE STUDY On Epiphany, 6th January, the Ladies will meet in the Church hall at 1.30pm for approximately an hour. On this Wednesday we will examine “Wise Men and the Christmas Star of Bethlehem” and looking at Matthew 2: 1-12. We would love to have many come along. Perhaps the start of 2016 is the time when you might consider becoming part of this group even on an occasional basis. Give it prayerful consideration. You’d be most welcome.

GUILD The Guild meets tomorrow afternoon at 2pm. Due to the many changes to the syllabus, this will be another DVD day with the National Meeting in Dundee as the subject. Do come along to the Church hall for the viewing and most importantly the fellowship. See you there.

RIVER CAFÉ The first River Cafe of 2016 is to be held on Wednesday 13th January from 2pm-3.30pm in the Church hall. Whether you have joined us before, or not, we look forward to seeing you there for some tea/coffee, home baking and the all important chat.

PVG TRAINING The Presbytery Protection of Vulnerable Groups Training Coordinator has arranged a training session for all volunteers who work with children and adults within our congregation. Training is now required for all PVG certificate holders. The training session will be held here in the Church hall at 7.00 p.m. on 12th January. It is expected that the session will last for approximately 2 hours and it is likely that we will be joined by members of other congregations. In order to assist with the planning of the session it would be appreciated if you could let Hugh Fraser know if you will be able to attend at hughfr1@aol.com or by phoning 01997433384.

CONGREGATIONAL MEETING There will be a congregational meeting after morning worship on Sunday the 24th January to discuss the Church Constitution – more information will follow on this in the next two weeks.
