PRAYER GROUP Prayer meetings continue on Wednesday mornings at 10am in the Church hall. Prayer is the essential powerhouse of the Church and your participation would be greatly valued.

Informal prayer time before the morning service From 10.15-10.45am each Sunday the posh room is available for prayer spoken and unspoken, for our church, for the world and for current needs. You can come and go within that time so no need to stay for the half an hour. Feel free to drop in.

LADIES BIBLE STUDY The next meeting will take place on Wednesday 4th March in the Church hall at 1.30pm for approximately an hour. We are studying Genesis this session. It would be really good if you would join us then. A warm welcome awaits all those who want to know more of God’s word.

PASTORAL CARE TEAM We’d like to help and so give us a call if you think we could assist. Call either your elder or the coordinator, Janette Steele (01349 861591). We’d like to help.

HIGHLAND FOODBANK  In 2019 7700 people were helped by the foodbank. This is an increase of 11 per cent. This indicates there is such a need in our area. There are leaflets at the back of the Church letting us know the items in short supply and requested for March and April. Do please take one so that you can target your donations. The organisers say that pasta, beans and soup are not required at this time due to shelves being full but tins of ham, Wheetabix/cornflakes (small), tins of corned beef, tins of potatoes and washing up liquid (small) are less plentiful. Thank you.

KIRK SESSION The Kirk Session will meet at 7.00pm on Thursday 5th March in the Church Hall. Minutes and the Agenda have been circulated to all elders who have email and are available for uplift for those who do not. If you have not received your copy, please let the Session Clerk know.

There is to be a Soup Lunch in the Church Hall on Friday 6th March starting at 12 midday. Why not join us for some delicious homemade soup, tea and biscuits and the chance to chat together.  There will also be the opportunity to see the short video about the recent Toilet Twinning Project. There is a list at the back of the church for contributions to the lunch. We look forward to seeing you there.

RIVER CAFÉ The next River Cafe takes place in the Church Hall on Wednesday 11th March from 2pm-3.30pm. Why not drop in (even for a few minutes) and enjoy some tea/coffee and home baking, while catching up with friends for the all important chat? We look forward to welcoming you there. If you would be willing/able to provide some home bakes for this, can you please add your name to the list at the back of the church beforehand, so that we will know what variety of baking we can offer? Many thanks.

WORLD DAY OF PRAYER The 2020 World Day of Prayer service will be held in St Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, Castle St, Dingwall on Friday 6th March at 7.30pm. The service has been prepared by Christian women from Zimbabwe, on the theme: “Rise, take your mat and walk”. Ferintosh is asked to provide two readers. If you are able to be a reader, or if you would like to attend and require transport, please speak to Janet Winchester.

WORLD MISSION COUNCIL NEWSLETTER The latest edition is now available. Those who subscribe to Life and Work will receive copies with the March issue, and there are several copies on the table at the back of the Church for anyone who would like to take one. The focus of this edition is different ways in which congregations can Encounter Others, abroad and at home.

CHRISTIAN AID Christian Aid has again produced  Count your Blessings, a series of prompts to thought, prayer and (if wished) giving, for each day of Lent. There should be some copies to take away on the table at the back of the Church, or an electronic version is available at: -blessings-online.

Whether or not you use Count your Blessings, please consider donating to the Appel, as Christian Aid is currently struggling to meet its current commitments. Christian Aid Week this year will run from 10 to 16th May. We are trying to get together a small group to plan how we will celebrate this as a congregation. If you are interested, or know someone else who might be, please contact Janet Winchester.
